What to expect

  • Applicants should call 469-900-9619 to make an appointment for an interview.

  • Upon arrival for the interview the applicant will complete an application for assistance, then will be interviewed and briefed on the policies, procedures and rules of the organization. You can also submit your application online prior to scheduling your appointment.

  • If application is accepted, and if space is available, housing will be granted for a documented length of time.

  • At the end of that length of time, the permission for housing will expire. If the needs extend beyond the length of time indicated in the original application and documentation, the client must apply again.

  • Admission will be based solely on space availability, need or special circumstances of the client and the organization.

  • Basic needs such as food and clothing will be met to the extent possible.

 

POLICIES & PROCEDURES OF
HOUSING BY JOHN 3:16

  • A representative of John 3:16 will meet with potential clients and assist in the completion of the application.

  • A background check will be conducted.

  • Applicant's landlord will be contacted to verify the amount of rent required to keep the applicant housed.

  • Application will be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval.

If the application is accepted and approved by the Board, see following:

  1. The amount of rental assistance will be issued in increments of no more than $200 per occurrence.

  2. Rental assistance will be issued no more than three (3) times in a calendar year.

  3. Rental assistance will be issued only to the landlord, not to the applicant.

  4. John 3:16 will not pay late fees.

Further assistance needed by the client will result in a referral to another agency or provider.
