Our philosophy is simple. Jesus said:

"I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something
to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me..."
Matthew 25:35-36

"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind... Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37,3

Our Mission

The Housing Help by John 3:16 intends to serve not only the basic physical needs of the most vulnerable members of our community, but is intended to be a Christian based program for spiritual and emotional support as well.

John 3:16 Ministries has helped my family to have shelter since my husband got hurt and we lost everything. If they had not, we would have had to sleep on the street. There are 6 of us - 2 adults and 4 under 12 years of age. It has been a long and painful journey. God has used John 3:16 Ministries to give us hope throughout our journey.

What We've Achieved

  • Angela, a smart, educated young woman separated from her family. She moved here to make a new start in north Texas as a teacher or a trainer. She now has a full time job but is still recovering from the expenses of her move, a car accident, and medical issues. She still needs a little help in the form of food, either from The Friendship House or from John 3:16. Please pray for her.

  • Ida, a single mother, with two children and a dependent mother living with her. She was divorced in 2014, has not received any child support from the father, who cannot be found. She told us recently that she is still struggling but is trusting God for a breakthrough. John 3:16 plans to help her if she needs it. Continued prayer needed.

  • Annette, a single mom with four children under the age of 11 working on commission for a mortgage broker. Her commissions had been cut back as a result of the broker’s legal difficulties. Her car was recently repossessed but her church pastor loaned her a car—badly needed because Annette’s assigned territory requires her to travel by car. John 3:16 has helped her with her rent, put gas in the car provided by her pastor, and helped her get her laundry done. (There is a lot of laundry involved in caring for 4 kids!) Her employment situation has now stabilized! Praise God! She is still looking for a 3-4 bedroom rental home in Grand Prairie, Mansfield, Irving, Arlington or Euless. Please pray specifically for a house for her and her family.
